Our social groups are meticulously designed to foster social growth and boost confidence in communication skills through engaging activities like Dungeons & Dragons, Minecraft, Miniature Painting, and Stardew Valley. Delivered in a group setting, these activities feature custom-built adventures and worlds tailored specifically for our participants, all facilitated by experienced Games Masters in an inclusive, supportive and safe environment.
We have partnered with two cutting-edge tabletop gaming technology applications, TaleSpire and HeroForge, to elevate the level of engagement. These tools enhance our 10-week program, making it an excellent mechanism for developing social, cognitive, and other life skills. By providing detailed digital representations of their characters, we make it easier for participants to visualise and role-play, especially for those who might find it challenging to imagine their characters.
When participants describe their characters, we create digital representations that match their vision. These characters can then be used in a digital world crafted for our custom adventures.
Our friendly, experienced, and professional Games Masters are passionate about storytelling and inclusivity, ensuring every participant receives a high-quality experience.
To maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency, we have dedicated staff assisting each group. They ensure smooth operations and help with any minor technical issues or conflicts that may arise within the group, in addition to the support provided by the Games Master.
Our objective is to support social growth and communication skills in those who need it most, all while providing a fun and enjoyable experience for 2 to 2.5 hours each week over the school term.
The 9 to 10-week term ensures consistency with the same participants and Games Master, reducing uncertainty about who they will meet each week.
NDIS Information for Participants:
Our social groups may be covered under the participant’s NDIS plan if the participant’s goals align with that of the group. Coverage depends on individual plans, so we recommend checking with your Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator (LAC), or Plan Manager before registering.
